Young people in the Montgomery area have joined with the Montgomery Chorale to form the Montgomery Youth Chorale. The Youth Chorale first performed with the Montgomery Chorale in the spring of 2002; March 2003 marked its independent concert debut.

Besides the obvious musical training they receive, the benefits to young people singing in a demanding choir program are many; self-control and self-mastery, independent thinking, teamwork, service, analytical thinking, poise, confidence, focus, and discipline are but a few.

The Montgomery Youth Chorale is dedicated to presenting concerts in a wide variety of musical styles and offering singers only the finest literature written for young voices. Membership in the Youth Chorale is open to young people ages 8 - 16 (boys must have unchanged voices). A short audition to determine musical aptitude and willingness to learn is required.
