New Artistic Director/Conductor
a word f rom James Seay

Having grown up in Montgomery, I know how important music and the arts are to the heart of our culture.  I am humbled and indeed, very excited to join the leadership of one of the River Region’s oldest arts organizations, the Montgomery Chorale.  For over 40 years, our community has been blessed by the dedicated members of the Montgomery Chorale as they have sought to offer beautiful and stirring performances of the finest choral music. In our 2015-2016 season, we will build on our illustrious history with concerts that aim to inspire the heart and move the soul.  On October 25th on the Festival Stage of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, we will make the ELEMENTS: Songs of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water come to life!  At our annual MESSIAH Sing-A-Long on December 15th, we invite the whole community to join us in singing and celebrating the timeless grandeur of Handel’s Messiah.  For our season finale on April 10th, the Montgomery Chorale will tackle one of the most beautiful and one of the most challenging pieces in the choral repertoire – Requiem by W.A. Mozart.

Join us for a new season in the life of the Montgomery Chorale and a season of incredible concerts that you won’t want to miss!
